Founded in 1994,
Kitchens To Go is the final culmination
of a dream realized by Kenneth Walker. After more than ten years of
experience designing cabinets for many other remodeling firms, and being
forced to sell to clients at overly inflated prices, Ken decided,
"enough is enough", and set out to provide the public with a better,
more affordable way to remodel kitchens and bathrooms. Teaming up with
his brother Bruce Walker, and long time friend John Powell, they began
to reinvent the customer service aspect of the industry. Powalk,
Inc., d/b/a Kitchens To Go was born.
They began selling
cabinets with a minimum overhead, working out of a small office,
advertising in local newspapers, and setting up displays at home shows.
The word began to spread about Kitchens To Go
and its low cost concept.
Within ten years,
the Kitchens To Go storefront
showroom opened for business.
Our showroom
offers an endless variety of different door styles and finishes
to choose from and our cabinets come in 2 different forms:
1) In a knockdown form, direct to the
public, ready for installation within 1-2 weeks. This allows our clients
the possibility of completing their project quickly at a reasonable
cost, and 2) Pre-assembled cabinets,
direct from the manufacturer, allowing you to mix and match door style
and finish for a truly customized look, with lead times from 4-8 weeks.

every day. In business for fourteen years, we are proud of being able to help so many people with such a
variety of needs. Our future goals include (1) opening more design centers
and (2) allowing customers to buy cabinets online through our website. We encourage you

unknowledgeable, Kitchens To Go provides personal, one-on-one contact with our friendly, knowledgeable
staff of professional design consultants. Our job is to design and
